Do I need any technical skills?
No. Business-in-a-Box is designed for operators who want to focus on running their business, not configuring software. Our team handles the website setup, branding, booking engine configuration, and testing. On Flagship tier, we also handle domain registration, hosting, and payment processor setup — so you literally don't touch anything technical. On Launch and Scale tiers, you'll need a domain and a Stripe or Square account — both take about 20 minutes to set up, and we'll walk you through it on the launch call.
Does RYDE take a percentage of my bookings?
No. Never. RYDE charges a flat monthly platform fee — that's it. You keep 100% of every booking. Every dollar your customers pay lands directly in your payment processor account (Stripe, Square, or your own processor). This is one of the biggest differences between RYDE and marketplace-style platforms like Uber or Lyft. You're running your own business on our software, not joining our network.
Is there a long-term contract?
No. All Business-in-a-Box plans are month-to-month. You pay the one-time setup fee and then a monthly platform fee that you can cancel anytime. There's no cancellation fee, but if you cancel, you'll need to move your site off our hosting. We'll help you export your data and transition to another provider — we don't hold your business hostage.
Can you really launch a business in a single day?
Yes — for customers who arrive prepared. Our platform runs on proven templates, so we're not building from scratch. We're configuring a working operator site with your branding, connecting your fleet, and going live. That's hours of work, not weeks. To hit same-day launch, you'll need four things ready at kickoff: a registered domain, a Stripe or Square account in your business name, your fleet data (vehicles, drivers, pricing), and your branding assets (logo, business name, phone number). We'll send you a checklist before the launch call so you know exactly what to prepare. If you're on the Flagship tier, you don't need to bring anything — we handle domain registration, hosting, payment processor setup, and all the technical infrastructure. You just show up and start running your business.
What does "same-day launch" actually mean?
It means exactly that — by end of day, you have a working transportation business accepting real bookings from real customers. That includes your website live at your own domain, booking engine configured with your pricing rules, payment processor connected and tested with a real transaction, notification system activated (email, SMS, WhatsApp), and fleet data loaded (vehicles, drivers, service areas). We run a full test booking end-to-end — booking, payment, driver assignment, notifications — before handing over the keys. Same-day launch requires preparation from your side. If that preparation isn't done, we launch as soon as your prerequisites are ready.
What if I don't have a logo or business name yet?
We can help. If you have a business name but no logo, we can either create a simple wordmark logo as part of setup (included on Scale and Flagship tiers) or recommend a designer. If you don't have a business name yet, we'll discuss name options on the launch call and help you check domain availability. That said, having a name and logo ready accelerates launch. If you're still deciding, it's worth taking a week to finalize those before kickoff — it'll make everything else faster.
Can I start with Launch and upgrade later?
Yes. Tier upgrades are available anytime. When you upgrade from Launch to Scale, or Scale to Flagship, we apply the additional setup work (custom branding, phone line, IVR, concierge services) as a new setup package, and your monthly fee adjusts to the new tier. Most operators who upgrade do so within 6–12 months, once they've validated demand and want to invest in deeper branding and white-label treatment.
Does RYDE work outside the United States?
Yes. RYDE is already powering operators in multiple countries, with upcoming launches in Portugal and Germany. The platform supports multi-currency pricing, international payment processors, SEPA bank transfers for European operators, and multi-language booking flows. If you're launching internationally, mention your region on the demo call — we'll walk through the specifics (local compliance, payment processor options, regional features) that apply to your market.
Can I change my website design later?
Yes. Your site isn't locked to one template. You can request design changes anytime — small updates (colors, fonts, layout tweaks) are included in your monthly plan on Scale and Flagship tiers. Bigger redesigns (full visual overhaul) are available as a paid add-on or can be bundled into a tier upgrade. On Launch tier, design changes beyond minor updates are billed hourly at our standard rate. We'll quote any work before starting.
What happens if I need help after launch?
You get ongoing support as part of your monthly platform fee. Launch tier: email support with 48-hour response time. Scale tier: priority email support with 24-hour response time. Flagship tier: dedicated onboarding manager, direct support contact, priority response, and monthly strategy calls. If something breaks, we fix it. If you want to add a feature, configure a new vehicle type, or adjust your pricing rules, just ask — we'll handle it within your tier's support scope.
How is RYDE different from generic booking software?
Three main differences. First, it's built specifically for transportation. Surge pricing, multi-stop routes, airport fees, waiting time billing, flight tracking, fleet management — these are baseline features in RYDE, not add-ons. Generic booking tools like Acuity or Calendly can't handle transportation economics. Second, it's done-for-you, not DIY.
