Roots in Pacific Northwest transportation
Deep involvement in the Seattle metro transportation market begins — serving airport routes and corporate clients. Booking was manual, dispatch was by phone. The operational inefficiencies of available software were apparent from day one.
2012–16
Multi-city transportation experience builds
Expanded operational knowledge across Tacoma, Bellevue, Everett, and the greater Puget Sound. Worked across and observed multiple brands and service areas. Tried and abandoned multiple booking platforms — none understood transportation-specific pricing or dispatch workflows.
2017–20
Platform development begins
Development of purpose-built transportation booking and dispatch software starts — designed from the ground up around real operator workflows. Refined live across active transportation businesses with real drivers, real routes, and real volume.

Is RYDE an established company or an early-stage startup?
RYDE is the commercial product built on top of platform technology that has been in active use across real transportation businesses for several years. The underlying software has processed over 100,000 rides annually across 20+ active properties before we made it available to outside operators. We’re not pre-revenue and we’re not running on pitch deck promises — the platform runs live businesses every day. That said, RYDE as a named product offered to external operators is relatively new, and we’re transparent about that.
Who actually built this and why should I trust the team?
RYDE was built by people with over 15 years of hands-on experience in the transportation industry across USA. The team’s background isn’t software sales — it’s actually operating shuttle services, executive car businesses, and limo fleets in a competitive market. The platform was built because the existing options were inadequate for how transportation businesses actually work. That operational context is why the feature set looks different from generic booking software.
What happens to my business if RYDE shuts down?
This is the right question to ask any software vendor. Your booking data, customer records, and payment history are exportable at any time — you’re never locked into a format only we can read. For Complete Business Solution operators, your domain is registered in your name and transferred to you immediately upon cancellation. For plugin operators, your WordPress site remains fully intact — you simply deactivate the plugin. We’re not a single-point-of-failure for your business.
Do you take a cut of my booking revenue?
No. RYDE charges a flat monthly fee — $99/month for the plugin or $199/month for the complete solution. Every dollar your customers pay goes directly to you through your own Stripe account. We have no visibility into your transaction amounts and no financial stake in your per-booking revenue. Our business model is simple: you pay a monthly fee, we provide a platform that makes that fee worth many times its cost.
Do you actually understand transportation, or is this generic booking software?
The honest test is in the feature list. Generic booking software doesn’t know what an airport surcharge is, can’t handle multi-stop pricing mid-trip, and has no concept of driver dispatch workflows. RYDE has all of that because it was built by people who needed it for their own operations. Features like surge pricing, waiting time billing, SeaTac airport fee automation, and real-time driver assignment exist because they were required by real transportation businesses — not because a product manager thought they sounded good.
How long has the platform actually been running?
The platform technology has been in active development and operational use since around 2017, refined over several years across a growing network of transportation businesses in USA. It reached its current feature maturity — the version now available to external operators — after years of real-world use. The 100,000+ annual rides figure reflects current volume, not cumulative total. This is a mature platform, not a beta product.
